WHDA welcomes four new attorneys

WHDA is very pleased to announce that four new attorneys have joined our firm:

SIMOR L. MOSKOWITZ, Partner, has experience in all phases of trademark and copyright law and trade regulation matters.  This includes trademark prosecution and copyrights, licensing and import matters before the U.S. Customs Service and litigation in the U.S. District Courts and Courts of Appeal as well as before U.S. Patent and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.  Simor earned his J.D. from The George Washington University.  He was formerly a partner with the Washington, DC based Firm of Jacobson Holman, PLLC.

GEORGE W. LEWIS, Partner, began his career as a corporate trademark and copyright attorney where his primary responsibility was the registration, protection and enforcement of several well-known entities.  His experience includes extensive work on foreign and domestic trademark applications and supervising litigation and contested proceedings before the Patent and Trademark offices in the United States and around the world.  George earned his J.D. from the Rutgers Law School-Camden.  He was formerly a partner with the Washington, DC based Firm of Jacobson Holman, PLLC.

ALLEN S. MELSER, Partner, assists domestic and foreign clients in designing and implementing intellectual property policies and managing their global patent, trademark and copyright portfolios.  He specializes in the technical areas os software, multimedia, computers and peripherals, microelectronics, electronic commerce and telecommunications.  He also has extensive experience in medical devices used in surgery and diagnostics.  Allen earned his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.  He was formerly a partner with the Washington, DC based Firm of Jacobson Holman, PLLC.

LINDA J. SHAPIRO, Of Counsel, began her IP legal career at the U.S. Court of Customs and Patent Appeals (now the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit) as a law clerk, primarily for Chief Judge Howard T. Markey.  Ms. Shapiro has over twenty years of experience in patent and trademark preparation, prosecution and copyright registration. Linda earned her J.D. from the George Washington University.  She was formerly a Senior Associate with the Washington, DC based Firm of Jacobson Holman, PLLC.
